Our baseline
BeYou is built for LGBTQ+ community and creator safety. Content and behavior that put people at risk (harassment, hate, exploitation, scams, or illegal activity) will be removed and may result in account action.
All content — including photos, videos, and live streams — is reviewed and screened by automated systems and trained human moderators before it is published. Content that is illegal or violates these guidelines is rejected and is not published, and all published content is subject to ongoing monitoring.
Adult content (18+ only, gated)
BeYou permits adult content created by verified adult creators, under strict conditions. Adult content is gated: it is visible only to age-verified users who are 18 or older and have opted in, and it is excluded from algorithmic discovery for users who have not opted in.
Conditions for adult content:
- Every creator and every person depicted is verified as 18 or older with government-issued ID, with consent documented before publication; 18 U.S.C. § 2257 records are maintained for all real performers.
- AI-generated content must carry a visible AI disclosure and may never depict a real, identifiable person, a celebrity, or a deepfake/face-swap of any real person.
- All adult content passes pre-publication moderation and ongoing automated monitoring.
Prohibited entirely (zero tolerance — removed, account banned, and reported where required by law):
- Any content involving a minor, or a person who appears to be a minor (reported to NCMEC)
- Non-consensual content, intimate-image abuse, or content depicting coercion or human trafficking
- Bestiality, incest, rape or “forced” themes, snuff or “fantasy snuff,” necrophilia, or the depiction of exchanging money for sexual services
- Adult content using a real person’s likeness, a celebrity, or a deepfake created without that person’s verified consent
Harassment, hate, and violent extremism
The following are strictly prohibited and may not be posted or monetized:
- Hate speech or slurs targeting any group based on race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or any other immutable characteristic
- Content that engages in, encourages, promotes, or celebrates unlawful violence or physical harm
- Threats of violence or encouragement of self-harm
- Bullying, targeted harassment, or doxxing
Scams and fraud
- Impersonation or misleading identity
- Phishing, spam, or deceptive links
- Soliciting payments off-platform for prohibited purposes
Illegal or harmful content
- Illegal goods/services or instructions that facilitate wrongdoing
- Non-consensual content, exploitation, or sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance)
- Content that violates others’ intellectual property rights, including copyrighted music, video, software, or other protected material
Reporting content
Every user can report content that violates our guidelines. Reporting is available on every video, profile, comment, message, and live stream through the Report button (flag icon). Reports are confidential — the reported user will not know who flagged them.
How to report:
- Tap the flag icon or “Report” option on any video, profile, comment, or live stream
- Select a reason (spam, harassment, hate speech, explicit content, violence, underage, impersonation, self-harm, scam, or other)
- Optionally add details to help our moderation team
- Submit — our team reviews all reports within 24 hours
Rights holders and third parties may also request content removal by emailing support@beyou.live with details of the violation and proof of ownership where applicable. DMCA takedown requests are processed in compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Sensitive content
You may post content that includes mature themes (suggestive imagery, partial nudity, graphic violence when used as art or commentary) only if you mark it as sensitive at upload time. We mirror X (formerly Twitter)’s policy:
Allowed (with sensitive flag):
- Suggestive poses, partial nudity (e.g., swimwear, lingerie)
- Graphic violence used as art, news, or commentary
- Mature themes
Prohibited entirely (will be removed; account banned):
- Non-consensual intimate imagery
- Child sexual exploitation material (zero tolerance — reported to NCMEC)
- Sensitive content in profile photos, headers, live stream covers, or community banners (visible-by-default surfaces must remain clean)
- Content depicting bestiality, necrophilia, or violent sexual content
When you mark a post as sensitive:
- Other users see it blurred with a “View” button until they opt in via Settings → Privacy
- Logged-out viewers cannot see it at all
- It does not appear in algorithmic discovery for users who haven’t opted in
- Ads do not run adjacent to it (creator can still earn subscription/tip revenue)
You can also enable the account-wide “Mark all my media as sensitive” toggle in Settings → Privacy. This auto-flags every post you upload going forward.
If you under-label sensitive content repeatedly (3 or more violations within 90 days), our Trust & Safety team will lock your account into the always-flag mode permanently.
For iOS users: Due to App Store policy, the “Display media that may contain sensitive content” toggle is only available on the web at beyou.live/settings/privacy.
Enforcement
Enforcement can include warnings, content removal, temporary restrictions, demonetization, account suspension, or permanent bans.
Repeat violators are subject to our three-strike escalation policy: first violation results in a warning and content removal; second violation results in a 7–30 day suspension with monetization paused; third violation results in permanent account termination and forfeiture of pending payouts. Severe violations (content involving minors, credible threats, terrorism) may result in immediate permanent termination without prior strikes.
Strike history is tracked per account and does not expire. If you believe we made a mistake, contact support@beyou.live. Appeals are reviewed within 48 hours.
